Cream Cheese-Filled Banana Bread

Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

Whisk the [[large egg for the bread]], [[light brown sugar, packed]], [[granulated sugar for the bread]], [[melted coconut oil]], [[sour cream or Greek yogurt]], and [[vanilla extract]]. Stir in the [[ripe bananas, mashed]].

Fold in the [[all-purpose flour for the bread]], [[baking powder]], [[baking soda]], and [[salt]] just until combined. Spread about two-thirds of the batter in the prepared pan.

Whisk the [[large egg for the filling]], [[brick-style cream cheese, softened]], [[granulated sugar for the filling]], and [[all-purpose flour for the filling]] until smooth.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then gently cover it with the remaining banana batter.

Bake for 48 to 50 minutes, until the loaf is golden and set. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a rack and cool completely before slicing.
